Zahorka, Helen #2 (6 NOV 1886 - 2 NOV 1961)
Mrs. John Zahorka, 74, died at her home at Colby Thursday at 9:10 p.m. She had been in ill health for the past nine years.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Rembs Funeral Chapel, Marshfield, at which James Jardine officiating.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dissmore, Eau Claire, accompanied by Mrs. Harold Brockhaus, sang "I Know in Who I Have Believed" and "I know that My Redeemer Lives." Doris Wilson and Elaine Lyman assisted with the singing at the cemetery.
The obituary was read by Albert Grave and the prayer was offered by Clarence Arquette. Burial was made in Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield. The scriptural reading at the cemetery was given by Charles Preston and the closing prayer offered by Ray Bullick.
Pallbearers were Emil Baesman, Alfred Birkholz, Dwight Balow, Richard Klein..tick, Arvid Carlson and William Pechkham.
Helen Hedrich was born Nov. 6, 1886, in Calumet County, and received her education there. In 1901 she came to Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) and was married there to John Zahorka in 1904. The couple operated a farm in the town of Holton until 1931 when they moved to Horicon. In 1937 they moved to Colby and lived there since that time.
She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Norma Wepfer of Chicago, and Miss Irene Zahorka of Austria. There are two grandchildren, Miss Maurine Wepfer of Chicago and Myron Wepfer of Abbotsford, and five great-grandchildren.

Liberta, Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Myron Wepfer and family, Mrs. Frank Zahorka, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Haderlein, Kenneth Haderlein, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Zahorka and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Horachek and daughter, Diane, Abbotsford; and relatives and friends from Wausau, Milwaukee, Rice Lake, Granton, Loyal, Madison, Westboro, Wis. Rapids, Eau Claire, Rhinelander, Beaver Dam, Hudson, Wis. Dells, Menomonie, Park Falls, Appleton, Poynette, Chippewa Falls, Abbotsford and surrounding area, Lee, Minn., Chicago and Evanston, Ill.
