South York (9 January 1935)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Plucinski of Plum City were New Year’s guests at Fred Wrights.  Clayton Wright returned home with them after having spent a week at their home.

 

Mrs. Sarah Davis and Ora were Loyal visitors Wednesday afternoon.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Kearney Davis were guests at Rella Osgoods New Years Day and evening.  Mr. and Mrs. Myron Osgood also visited there.  Dr. and Mrs. R. R. Rath also spent Tuesday evening there.  The evening was spent in playing bridge.

 

Mrs. Rella Osgood, Miss Ora Davis and Mrs. Will Eibergen spent Wednesday evening with Mrs. Dale Lee playing bridge.

 

The Misses Hope, Vera and Ferne Wright returned to their school over the weekend.

 

Miss Ruth Pietenpol spent Wednesday and Thursday with Mrs. H. L. Trewartha in Neillsville.

 

Miss Ora Davis and Mrs. Merton Davis were Marshfield callers Friday afternoon.

 

Mrs. Clara Elmhorst entertained at a card party Friday evening seven tables of bridge.  Loren Hales and Mrs. Geo. Hales won high score and Louis Nowack and Ethel Walker low.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hales and Mrs. Lawrence Hainz and baby were callers at the Lou Hemp home in Neillsville Thursday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Pietenpol and children returned home Saturday after having spent several weeks in Neillsville.  Hans Ebon who had been doing chores in Bernard’s place; returned home Saturday also.

 

Mrs. Dale Lee spent Saturday with her mother, Mrs. Sarah Davis.

 

Miss Leona Hoffman is working at the Fred Wright home since the holidays.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dankemeyer and Mr. and Mrs. Olin of Marshfield were visitors at the Will Eibergen home Sunday afternoon.  Marie, Evelyn, Norman and Marjorie Hales also spent the afternoon there.
