Bills, Betty Lea (Marriage - 7 January 1961)
Miss Betty Lea Bills, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Bills of Madison, and Robert Jansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jansen, Rt. 1 Neillsville, exchanged nuptial vows Saturday in St. Mary’s Catholic parsonage in Neillsville. The Rev. Joseph Eisenmann performed the single ring ceremony.
For her wedding the bride wore a Street-length dress of dark blue velvet, with matching accessories. She wore a heart-shaped tiara of rhinestones and blue net. A corsage of pink carnations, lilies-of-the-valley and stephanotis was pinned to her shoulderline.
The couple’s attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Gene Simmons.
Approximately 80 guests attended a reception in Grant town hall. Doll cakes baked by Mrs. Gary Kuechenmeister decorated the tables.
The bride attended Granton High School. Her husband is employed near Granton. They are residing in a trailer near the home of her sister, Mrs. Vernon Drescher.
Relatives from away here for the wedding included her parents and her grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Campbell, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Merrill, all of Sparta.
