Bauernfeind (BBT) & Marshfield Ins. Donate to CART (2023)
No. 28, (l-r) Paul Knoff, sales director at Bauernfeind Business Technologies,
Inc., and Tricia Trojan, personal lines service agent at Marshfield
Insurance—Neillsville branch, donated a new printer to the CART Center,
presenting it to Chris Keller and Barb Petkovsek.
L.B./Clark County Press
In a collaborative effort to support local cultural initiatives, Bauernfeind
Business Technologies (BBT) and Marshfield Insurance announced the donation of a
color copier to the Clark Cultural Arts Center (CART) in Neillsville.
This is the third device (valued at more than $3,000.00) BBT has helped to
donate to CART. The Konica Minolta Bizhub C368 is a multifunctional printer that
combines “cutting-edge technology” with “eco-friendly features,” making it an
ideal addition to CART’s operational resources.
“We’re excited to team up with Marshfield Insurance for this donation,” said
Paul Knoff, sales director at BBT. “As a Clark County resident, it’s been nice
to help an organization that continues to do a lot for the residents of the
Neillsville area.”
The MFP printer was part of Marshfield Insurance’s fleet, but was no longer
needed. The CART’s previous device was ready to retire. It also coincided with
Marshfield Insurance opening their new branch in Neillsville in early 2024.
“We’ve always supported the communities we serve, and we love the arts,” said
Nick Arnoldy, CEO of Marshfield Insurance. “We hope this donation will help
further CART’s cause.”
“The donation of the copier is of huge benefit to CART and its ability to get
the word out on all the community events planned throughout the year,” said
Chris Keller of CART. “This gift enables us to reach so many more people with
print and further helps us communicate our mission—promoting and contributing to
the personal, economic and community development through education, exhibitions,
advocacy and the expressions of Art in Clark County.
“It’s invaluable to us to have such a great partnership with your company and
Marshfield Insurance to make this possible.”

Greenwood Shows Homes in Christmas Memories Tour (2023)
Participating in the Greenwood Christmas Memories Tour of Homes were (l-r) Pat
Lindner, Jeff Block and Steve Hemersbach. They decorated the Branstiter Museum
with décor from the museum itself and some from their own homes. The team was
grateful to have visitors from the Tour of Homes since the museum is isn’t
technically a home, bit it still a place for people to gather and enjoy the
holiday spirit. L.B./Clark County Press

The Greenwood Area Chamber of Commerce presented the Christmas Memories Tour of
Homes Dec. 9.
Wes and Jody Stieglitz and the Branstiter Museum, among others, participated in
the tour and shared the holiday spirit with anyone who entered their home.
Refreshments and a door prize were offered at each house.
The supervisors of the Branstiter Museum decorated the exhibits and set out a
tray of treats for the guests.
“We put up a lot of Christmas decorations, some of my own, and some that
belonged to the museum already,” Pat Lindner, chairman of the museum, said.
“Some rooms are really cute, like the new ladies’ dresses room and Don [Branstiter]’s
tractor room. We got it all dolled up for Christmas.”
The Branstiter Museum’s supervisors were glad to receive visitors for the Tour
of Homes, even if the museum is not technically a home. The team was also
grateful to the Greenwood community for their donations and acknowledged the
hard work that the owners of the locations in the Tour of Homes put in to make
their living spaces comfortable and festive.
Wes and Jody Stieglitz purchased the Plautz gravel pit in 1988 and originally
used the land for fishing, camping and spending time with the grandkids and
extended family. Over the years, the couple expanded the cabin, which now has
four total additions, a boat house, an elevator and is three stories tall.
“We had about one project every year,” Wes Stieglitz said, owner of the gravel
pit cabin. “The cabin started as an office, and we had an outhouse, then. We
added a bathroom, drilled a well, put in holding tanks, then the kitchen, and
now it’s got four additions total.
“I’ve recently had some health issues, so this new part is [Americans with
Disabilities Act] compliant so I can get around easily. We like it because we
get to see the grandkids come with their friends and hang out.”
Judy (left) and Wes (right) Stieglitz decorated their cabin for the Greenwood
Christmas Memories Tour of Homes. The cabin was purchased in 1988 and, over the
years, has transformed into a three story home fit for the couple’s retirement
years.
