Freimund, Elsie (4 APR 1893 - 3 JAN 1962)

 

Mrs. Elsie Freimund, 68, died at her home in Milan Jan. 3, 1962.  Funeral services were held the following Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ferdinand Timler officiating.  Interment was made in the town of Holton Cemetery.

 

The former Elsie Speck was born April 4, 1893 in Sheboygan.  She and Herman Freimund were married Oct. 29, 1913.  They farmed in the town of Eau Pleine until 1942, then moved to a farm in the town of Holton.

 

Mr. Freimund preceded his wife in death in 1944.  In 1945, Mrs. Freimund moved to Milan.

 

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Eleanor) Konkel of Milwaukee, two sons, Darold of Milan and Rollan of Athens, and 13 grandchildren.  She also leaves a brother, Carl Speck of Abbotsford and four sisters, Mrs. Albert Hackel of Milan, Mrs. Jack Kraemer of West Allis, Mrs. Dorothy White of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Robert Heida of Mondovi.

 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son and a daughter, Mrs. Artemis Weis, who died in 1960.
