Schwab, Juanita (7 FEB 1924 - 21 JAN 1962)
Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Schwab, 37, the former Juanita Sybeldon, who died Sunday morning at Sacred Heart Hospital, Tomahawk, were held Wednesday morning. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. William Smits officiated at the requiem high mass at 10 o’clock, after which burial was made in Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Bukowski, Darwin Sweeney, Netland Doucette, Ralph Pennings, E. J. Marquardt and Eldred Kahn.
Juanita Sybeldon was born at Abbotsford Feb. 7, 1924, and was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sybeldon. She was educated in the Abbotsford schools and also attended Central State Teachers College, Stevens Point. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing, Wausau, and was a registered nurse.
In 1917 she went to Tomahawk to become an industrial nurse at the Standard Container Corp.
On June 18, 1949, she and Charles Schwab were united in marriage at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Abbotsford. They made their home at Tomahawk.
Surviving her are her husband and three children, Mary Louise 11, Andrew Charles 8, and Patti Ann 6, all at home, and her mother, Mrs. Ed Sybeldon of Abbotsford.
Her father preceded her in death in July 1957.
Mrs. Schwab was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club of Tomahawk and the St. Mary’s Alumni Association at Wausau.
