Schraufnagel, Norbert #2 (6 JUN 1884 - 22 JAN 1962)

Funeral services for Norbert Schraufnagel, 77 years of age, of Colby, who died Jan. 22, 1962, were held Thursday morning at 10:30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, with the Rev. John Pinion officiating.

Pallbearers for the interment, made in the Colby Cemetery, were Elmer, Alphonse and Cletus Schraufnagel, Arvin, Claude and Joseph Apfelbeck.

Many friends and relatives from Abbotsford, Colby, Curtiss, Unity, Spencer, edgar and other places, attended the funeral.

Mr. Schraufnagel was born in the town of Hull, June 6, 1884.  He was married to the former Mathilda Apfelbeck, June 17, 1912.  They operated a farm until 1946 when they retired and moved to Colby.

He is survived by his wife; a foster son, Alois Gabriel, Colby; three brothers, Joseph and Henry, Glidden; and Leonard, Colby, and two sisters, Mrs. Alvina Schauf and Mrs. Anna Misslich, Richland Center.
