Rayner, Charles M. (12 NOV 1888 - 27 FEB 1962)
Charles M. Rayner, 73, died at his home Tuesday evening, Feb. 27, 1962. The body will lie in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home beginning Thursday morning, and a rosary service will be held there at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 1. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Raymond B. Schulz officiating, and burial will be made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.
Mr. Rayner was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, Nov. 12, 1888, and was educated in Ohio schools. He was married on May 3, 1911 to the former Angeline Frank at Onamia, Minn.
In 1937 they came to Abbotsford, where Mr. Rayner was agent at the Soo Line Depot until his retirement in 1957. He served the village as president. In May 1961 Mr. and Mrs. Rayner observed their golden wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his widow, and one grandson, Charles Robert Rayner, of Oshkosh. Also surviving are two brothers, Ed of Bowling Green and Earl of Barnum, Minn., and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Titus and Mrs. C. J. Eddy of Marion, Ohio, and Miss Bessie Rayner of LaRue, Ohio.
An only son preceded him in death in 1956. His parents, two brothers, and one sister also preceded him in death.
