Gore, Mark (1871? - 9 APR 1962)

 

Mark Gore, 90, a brother-in-law of Arvid and Anton Carlson, died at his home near Hillmar, Calif., Monday, April 9, 1962.  Funeral services were held there Thursday, April 12, after which the body was brought to Red Wing, Minn., where services were held Monday afternoon.

 

The Misses Mary Ann and Mae Carlson, nieces of Mr. Gore, sang during the services.

 

Mr. Gore is survived by his widow, the former Alma Carlson of Abbotsford, whom he married in 1938, one son and three daughters, 18 grandchildren and over 20 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his first wife in 1921.

 

The Gores have lived in California since 1942.

 

Attending the funeral from this area were Anton Carlson, Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gore and Mrs. Fred (Sadie) Burns of Athens; Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Carlson, Mary Ann and Mae, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Graffunder and two children, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. David Carlson, Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Jeske and family, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Carlson and Miss Karen Carlson, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Enge and two daughters, Milwaukee; Mrs. Lloyd Carlson, Dorchester, and other relatives from Marshfield, West Allis, Maiden Rock, Spring Valley and Minneapolis, Minn.
