Moberg, Harry F. #3 (10 NOV 1894 - 1 MAY 1962)

 

Funeral services for Harry F. Moberg, 67, who died of pneumonia at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, on May 1, were held Saturday at the Polnaszek Funeral Home.  The Rev. Raymond B. Schulz, pastor of St. Bernard’s congregation, conducted the services at 1:30 p.m., after which interment was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Clarence Dolan, Chet Knight, Walter Kuenzl, Frank Lukas, Wilfred Marcott and Roland Roth.

 

Harry F. Moberg was born Nov. 10, 1884 at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and was educated in the Greenwood schools.  As a young man he worked for the Soo Line railroad and was employed by the company for 42 years until ill health forced his retirement in 1950.  He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen Lodge, No. 410.

 

On Oct. 17, 1917, he and Miss Johanna Drapes were married at Greenwood, where they lived for a time.  They also lived at Marshfield, and for the past 40 years they resided at Abbotsford.

 

Mr. Moberg is survived by his widow; and five children, Mrs. Irving (Bernadine) Jerabek, West Allis; Donald, Marinette; Clifford, New Berlin; Lloyd, Schofield; and Mrs. Robert (Carol) Marcott, Abbotsford.  There are 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

 

Miss Patty Drapes, 14, has made her home with the Mobergs since infancy.

 

His is also survived by two brothers, John Moberg of Escanaba, Mich., and Elery Moberg, Greenwood, and one sister, Mrs. Pat Cronin, Minneapolis.

 

All of the children and their families attended the funeral, except for one grandson, PFC Allen Jerabek, who is stationed with the army in Germany.

 

Among those who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Irving Jerabek, Mrs. Thomas Potters and Mrs. Kenneth Bingham, West Allis; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Moberg and family, Miss Virginia Moberg, New Berlin; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Moberg and family, Marinette; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Moberg and family, Schofield; Robert Marcott and Donald Moberg Jr., Milwaukee; John Moberg, Escanaba, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Elery Moberg and family, Emil and Art Kolstad, Greenwood; Mrs. Charles Klapatauskas, Willard; Mrs. Emil Sommerfeldt, Mrs. Pat Mancheski, Miss Bonnie Mancheski Mrs. William Mancheski and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Drapes and family and Mrs. Walter Yach, Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Leichtnam, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bremer, Rib Lake; and friends from Abbotsford and surrounding communities.
