Haire, Dr. Edna H. (14 April 1889 - 1 February 1961)
Funeral services were held in Owen February 7, for Dr. Edna H. Haire, 72, a former Clark County resident who died February 1 in Daytona Beach, Fla., following a heart attack. She was born April 14, 1889, in Port Byron, Ill.
The Rev. Ralph Claybaugh, pastor of the Owen Congregational Church, officiated at services from the Hoeper-Kraut Funeral Home, and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.
A sister of Rohland Haire of Owen and Herbert R. Haire of Minneapolis, Minn., Miss Haire was a neuropathic practitioner. She attended school in Philadelphia, Pa., and in Italy, and was an accomplished musician. She served as a reader in the Christian Science Church in Daytona Beach, where she had lived for the last 25 years.
Services were held there February 3, before the body was brought to Owen.
