Withee, Wisconsin (16 February 1961)

 

Norman Kell of Withee has purchased the house of the late Floyd Sample, three miles north and a mile west of Withee.

 

The Withee Cub Scouts had a Blue and Gold Banquet last Thursday at the Nazareth Lutheran hall.

 

Mrs. Joe Adams was a Sunday visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Capes.

 

The Withee MYF meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Lester Himes last week. Sandra Fritsch was the leader.  The young people planned a skating party for the near future.

 

Mrs. H. R. Haire of Owen left for a short stay at Daytona Beach, Fla., last week Wednesday.

 

Mrs. Dunbar Hines and children of Eau Claire are staying for a few days at the home of Mrs. Hines’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sabin Scherf, rural Withee, before they continue on to San Francisco, Calif., where they will join Mr. Hines, who is employed there.

 

The W. S. C. S. study club met at the home of Mrs. Glen Buchanan last Thursday.  One more meeting is scheduled for the season.

 

The Couples club met at the Methodist Church Sunday.

 

The Royal Neighbors met at the home of Mrs. Natalie Scherf last Thursday evening. The meeting was routine.  A lunch was served by Mrs. Dulcie Ryona and Mrs. Oscar Parkinson.

 

Mrs. A. C. Little has been ill with "flu" the last few days.
