Magadanz, Herman  (22 JUNE 1880-21 FEB 1953)

 

Herman Frank Magadanz, 72, died in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Saturday, Feb. 21, 1953, at 2:30 P.M.

 

He was born in New London, June 22, 1880>

 

His marriage to Nora Spangler took place in St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Neillsville, Nov. 23, 1915.

 

In 1913 he came to Loyal from Big Falls and purchased the Hein Town Cheese Factory which he operated for three years. He then purchased the farm on which the factory was located, and until the time of his death, or for over 40 years, this farm ws his home.

 

He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

 

Funeral services were at 9:30 A. M. Tuesday morning a, Feb. 24, at St. Anthony’s Church, and burial was in the parish cemetery. The Rev. Norbert King officiated.

 

Mr. Magadanz is survived by his wife and three sons, Joseph of Marshfield; Romaine, South Milwaukee; and Emil at home. One son preceded him in death.

 

He is also survived by one grandchild, three brothers, Emil of Shawano; Albert, Readfield; Robert, New London; and two sisters, Mrs. Christ Hansen, Two Rivers, and Mrs. August Braatz, Shawano.

 

Serving as pallbearers were Tony Walters, Joe Hoeser, Joe Walters, John Goetz, Phillip Schecklman, and George Kronberger.
