Meinke, Carl (24 FEB 1884 - 21 JUN 1962)
Funeral services for Carl Meinke, 78, who died Thursday at his home in the town of Hull, were held Sunday afternoon at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, at 2:30. The Rev. William Christian officiated. Burial was made in the Colby Cemetery.
Mr. Meinke was born Feb. 24, 1884 at Reedsville, and when only a small boy, came to the town of Hull, where he spent the rest of his life. He was married in Hull to Olga Barts, who died in 1916. In 1931 he was married to Esther Hass, who survives him.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Colby.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Gertrude) Alexander, Elmwood; and Mrs. Wilbur (Erna) Smith, Milwaukee; and two sons, Norman at home, and Elmer, Colby, two stepsons, Roland Hass, Abbotsford and Frank Hass, La Crescent, a step-daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Ella) Rap, Marshfield, and a sister, Mrs. William Witte, Marshfield.
He was preceded in death by a step-son, Rueben Hass, two sisters and a brother.
