Zuege, Adele (17 February 1889 - 3 March 1961)

 

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Methodist Church in Neillsville, for Mrs. Adele Zuege, 72, a lifelong resident of Clark County who died sometime during the night Friday, March 3.

 

Services were conducted by the Rev. Virgil Holmes, pastor of the Methodist Church, of which she was a member.  Burial was made in the Lyon family lot in the Loyal Cemetery.

 

Herbert C. Feig and Mrs. Virgil Holmes sang, "Rock of Ages" and "Abide with me."  Members of the Royal Neighbors and Rebekahs, and of the church circle of which she was a member, attended the services in a body.

 

Pallbearers were: Arne Petersen, Newton Toptine, Henry Wallace, W. B. Meier, Robert Frantz and August Janke.

 

The daughter of Wallace and Eutheda Lyon, Mrs. Zuege was born February 17, 1889, in Loyal.  She went to the Lyons School, south of the city, and lived in that area until 1937, when she came to Neillsville.  She was married to Herman Zuege on October 4, 1911, in Neillsville.

 

Surviving are three children: Mrs. Robert (Dorene) Harvey of Neillsville; Dale of Madison; and Mrs. Donald (Verna) Kadlecik of Racine; and a brother, J. M. Lyon of Hingham, Mont.; and eight grandchildren.

 

Funeral arrangements were made by Georgas Funeral Home.

 

Out of town people attending were: Mrs. Al Koshak, Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Ed. Thompson, Green Bay, and Mrs. V. A. Kauffmann, Loyal.
