Schneider, Mr./Mrs. William (Gold - 21 NOV 1902)

Mr. and Mrs. William Schneider observed their golden anniversary of their marriage Aug. 11, 1962 at a family dinner at their home.

An early celebration of the anniversary, which will be Nov. 21, was planned to enable their children to be there.

Coming for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Martin Schneider of Roseburg, Ore., Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Schneider and four children of Detroit, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Mack of Hinsdale, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Wallace of Chicago.  The youngest son, Robert, of Burein, Wash., was unable to be present.

Mr. Schneider, a native of Rodom, Poland, came with his parents to Gilett, Wis. when he was 18 years of age.  They lived here for a year and in 1902 settled on a farm near Dorchester.

Mrs. Schneider came from Saxony, Germany, when she was two eyars old and lived near Stetsonville.  Martha Zechiedrich and William Schneider were married at the home of his parents by the Rev. Moecter?, pastor of the Lutheran congregation, on Nov. 21, 1902.

They lived on the home farm for two years, then moved to one near Medford and also operated a bottled milk route at Medford.

On Sep. 1, 1955 they sold their farm and moved to Abbotsford.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Schneider are members of Christ Lutheran congregation of Abbotsford.

They have eight grandchildren.  Mrs. Schneider has two sisters, one in Sheldon, Wis., and one in Denver, Colo.  Mr. Schneider has one sister, Mrs. John Beemer, Abbotsford.
