Sieja, Margaret Ann (15 SEP 1962)
Miss Margaret Ann Sieja and Daniel J. Klinkhammer were united in the sacrament of marriage at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Beaver Dam, on Saturday, Sept. 15, 1962.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sieja of Beaver Dam and Mr. Klinkhammer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Klinkhammer of Abbotsford.
The Rev. Florian Mac witnessed the exchange of vows before the nuptial high mass at 11 a.m..
The maid of honor for her cousin was Miss Rosemary Fernboch of Milwaukee. The bridesmaid was Mrs. Lawrence Sackett of Skokie, Ill., a friend, and Miss Patricia Jones of Beaver Dam, a friend of the family, was the junior bridesmaid.
The best man was Charles Vesel of Greenwood, a friend and college roommate of the groom, and his other attendant was his brother, David Klinkhammer of Abbotsford.
The bride wore a gown of satin ducharme made with a fitted bodice with a petite front waistline bow, Camelot sleeves and an oval neckline. The floor length dome skirt was decorated with a large self-back bow and streamers flowing into a slight brush train. The veil of bouffant silk illusion was held in place by a satin turban embroidered with lace and seed pearls.
She carried a cascade bouquet of cymbidum orchids.
The bridal attendants each wore an emerald green brocade dress styled alike with a street length bell skirt, fitted bodice with set-in midriff, bateau neckline and bracelet length sleeves. Each carried a cascade bouquet of yellow glamellias.
In the afternoon a dinner and reception for about 125 guests were held at the Hotel Rogers in Beaver Dam.
The bride is a 1961 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, and the groom, who attended the Abbotsford High School, is a 1962 graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He is employed as an electrical engineer with the Collins Corp at Cedar Rapids, Ia. The couple is making their home at Cedar Rapids at 1500 Oakland Road, Apollo.
