Withee, Wisconsin (23 March 1961)
The MYF met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russel Martinson March 6. Douglas Himes had the lesson, entitled, "What is Right."
Mrs. George Stark and daughter, Janet, of Greenwood visited Mrs. Stark’s mother, Mrs. Bruchert, Sr., Sunday.
Mrs. Adam Olszewski and son drove to Chicago recently and visited Mrs. Olszewski’s children, Walter, Adam, Jr., and Helen.
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Radley went to Ely, Minn., or a few
days’ visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Cornwall.
Mr. and Mrs. Rex Copper, who are employed in Marshfield, were home for the weekend.
Mrs. Mabel Misfeldt of Thorp attended the last Study Club meeting at the Glen Buchanan home. Mrs. Misfeldt reports that she enjoys keeping in touch with former friends at Withee through the Withee news in "The Press".
Jay Bogue was taken to a Marshfield hospital early Thursday morning. He is reported in critical condition.
The Methodist couples club met Sunday at the Church.
The Royal Neighbors met last Thursday evening at the home of Miss Natalie Scherf. The meeting was routine.
Mrs. Edward Wendt and daughter, Rosalee, visited Mrs. Eugene Mertens at the hospital in Marshfield Tuesday.
Mary Gummerson, 13-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gummerson, has been hospitalized with measles and a strep throat infection.
Little Jimmie Mertens has chickenpox.
