Lloyd L. Spry called from Tucson, Ariz., one day last week, informing friends in Granton that he and Mrs. Spry and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Spry had completed a seven-week tour of Mexico with a caravan. They left the caravan on entry into Arizona and are planning to visit relatives there. They also will call on the Merton Davis family and Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Young in Mesa, Ariz., before returning home. The latter are former Town of York residents.
Mrs. Ralph Okray, Madison, who has been here during the illness and death of her mother, Mrs. Clark Waterman, was joined Sunday by her husband and children. They were guests at the Beeckler home.
Mrs. Elsie Nowack spent last week in Marathon with her daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Hurtis and family.
Mrs. R. R. Rath has returned home from a two-week vacation in Florida. She accompanied her niece, Mrs. Robert Wellman, and her family of Rock Island, Ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Cole, Black River Falls, visited Friday evening with Mrs. Ethel Berg.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Crandall, Green Bay, spent a day last week with his mother, Mrs. Vera Crandall.
Mr. and Mrs. Byrl Winn, Wisconsin Rapids, recently were guests at the Floyd Winn home.
Mrs. Rosa Klug, who fractured her hip in a fall in her home last fall, and who had spent the winter with her daughter and family in Nasonville, has returned home.
Miss Sharon Zahradka, a senior student nurse in a Marshfield hospital, presided at all sessions of the convention of Wisconsin State Student Nurses Association Saturday in Fond du Lac. Sharon, president of the association, is a niece of Mrs. Anna Zahradka.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Eibergen and family visited Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Anna Zahradka.
Pvt. Bill Zahradka, who has been visiting his mother, left Wednesday for his new assignment at Ft. Monmouth, N. J.
Mr. and Mrs. Arne Matheson and daughter, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Evanson, and Mr. and Mrs. Orville Evanson and sons were entertained Sunday at the Roland Evanson home in Mosinee. It was Roland’s birthday.
