Jordan, Rudolph  (1936-25 JAN 2011)

Rudolph "Rudy" L. Jordan, 74, Grand Rapids, Minn., died on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at Miller-Dawn Hospital, Duluth, Minn. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 31, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Grand Rapids. Rev. Jerry Weiss officiated. Burial with full military honors was in Harris Cemetery Township, Minn.

Rudolph L. Jordan was born in 1936, in Willard, to Ludwig and Elizabeth Jordan. He grew up and attended schools in the Willard area. He was a U. S. Army veteran and lived in the Grand Rapids, Minn., area since 1977. He was an avid fisherman and a Green Bay Packer fan. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Virginia Jordan, Grand Rapids; five children, Cathy (Ralph) Carlson, Jacobson, Minn., Ruth (Mitch Snook) Wersal, Remer, Minn., Diane Grover, Grand Rapids, Michael (Christi) Jordan, Laurenes, Iowa, and David (Jani) Jordan, Grand Rapids; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorraine (Joe) Kadlec, Shoreview, Minn., and Betty Schmidt, Loyal; and one brother, Bill (Sandy) Jordan, Tomah.

His parents preceded him in death.
