Ramberg, Dolores P. (6 SEP 1921 - 23 FEB 2011)
WITHEE -- Dolores Patricia Ramberg, 89, of Withee
passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at
the Clark County Health Care Center in
Owen.
She was born Sept. 6, 1921, to Alex and Eva
(Rogalski) Langiewicz, in Thorp. Dolores served as a staff sergeant
in the Army from 1942 to 1945 during World War
II.
She later married Donald Ramberg, the love of her
life, on June 26, 1948. After the marriage, the couple settled on
the home farm in Thorp, and in 1957, they bought a farm in Withee,
where they raised their four children. Dolores also worked at the
Clark County Health Care Center and later drove school bus for the
Owen-Withee School
District.
She learned and enjoyed playing accordion. Dolores
and her sisters started a Polka band called "The Lang Sisters"
where they often played at dance halls throughout the area. Dolores
enjoyed playing horse shoes, cards, fishing and
camping.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and
visiting with
friends.
Survivors include her four children, Lois (Ray)
Zebro of Kalispell, Mont., Rhonda (Dale) Sleznikow of Withee, Mark
(Linda) Ramberg of Granton and Scott (Barb) Ramberg of Withee; her
grandchildren, Greg (Lisa) Zebro, Ryan (Rachel) Zebro and Michelle
Rice, all of Kalispell, Mont., Sara (Chris) Warren of Marshfield,
David (Jodi) Sleznikow of Colby, Charlie (Michelle) Ramberg of
Neillsville, Katelyn Sleznikow of Withee and Tom (Heather) Wolowik
of Madison; 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; her
siblings Clairece (Russell) Rhode of Withee, Alex (Loretta)
Langiewicz of Withee, Henrietta Harder of Minn., Richie (Bunny)
Langiewicz of Stanley, Eve (Rex) Rixford of Sheboygan Falls, Audrey
(Bill) Peterson of Stanley and Joan (Roger) Frese of
Withee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald
Ramberg; a sister, Leona Lato; and brothers, Adam and Valentine
Langiewicz.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday,
Feb. 28, 2011, at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Curtiss, with the
Pastor Kris Bjerke-Ulliman
officiating.
