Bauer, David A. (18 SEP 1966 - 22 FEB 2011)
SPENCER -- David A. Bauer, 44, of Spencer, went home to be with
Jesus, Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital
in Marshfield.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Christ The King
Catholic Church in Spencer. The Rev. Charles Stoetzel will
officiate. Burial will be in the West Spencer Cemetery. A time of
visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the
Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Spencer; and will be held again
today from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.
David was born Sept. 18, 1966, in Marshfield, the youngest son of
George Jr. and Esther (Gennett) Bauer. He attended Colby, Owen, and
Loyal TMR until graduating in 1987. He helped operate the family
farm and worked at the Spencer IGA, ODC, and with the Supported
Employment Program.
David loved to dance, bowl, play Uno and take trips to the casino.
He liked the Fonze and was an avid WWF and Green Bay Packers fan.
He enjoyed watching the Young and The Restless and eating at Chips,
McDonalds or KFC. He will always be remembered for his practical
jokes and for the Eskimo Kisses shared with his mother.
David is lovingly survived by his mother, Esther; and siblings,
Barbara (John) Albee, Carol Jean (Gerald) Weideman, Brenda Bauer,
Jane Draeger, Deborah (Randol) Wong, Randall Bauer, Tammy (Scott)
Tyznik and Douglas (Sue) Bauer. He is further survived by 32 nieces
and nephews, 23 great-nieces and nephews, and many friends. He will
truly be missed.
His father, George Bauer Jr.; a brother, Gerald M. Bauer;
grandparents, Mark and Monica Gennett and George and Adeline Bauer;
a niece, Samantha Tyznik; as well as a brother-in-law, William
Klun; all preceded David in death.
The Bauer family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all
the staff at the: Colby Clinic; Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital
(Urgent Care, 6 North, and CCU) ; Christ The King Catholic Church;
the pallbearers; and the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home; for the
excellent care given to David.
