Shelton, George (1859? - 26 OCT 1962)
George Shelton, who was reported to be 103 years old, died Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. He had been resident of Leahy’s Nursing Home here and was taken by the Abbotsford ambulance to Marshfield earlier that day.
Mr. Shelton, a Negro, operated a junk business in the Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) area for several years, and up t to about a month ago, he was driving a truck in conjunction with his business.
He suffered a slight stroke a short time ago and was a patient at the hospital. He was later transferred to the Leahy Nursing Home.
