Zalewski, Kathleen (1941 - NOV 1962)
A young couple was found dead in a car parked near Highway 64, west of Medford, apparently victims of carbon monoxide poisoning.
The young couple, Donald Dassow, 27, Medford, and 21 year old Kathleen Zalewski of rural Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) , were found dead by the girl’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zalewski, about 5:30 a.m. They had been dead about three hours, according to Taylor County deputy coroner, Lester Hirt, who investigated the tragedy.
The coroner termed the deaths accidental due to carbon monoxide poisoning. The engine of the car was still running when the deaths were discovered.
