Marriage vows were exchanged between Miss Colleen Schoelzel and Gregor Majerus, Saturday afternoon, Dec. 8, 1962, at the First United Church of Christ, Colby. The Rev. Carl Serr read the marriage service at 2 o’clock during which Edward Wachtendonk sang "The Lord’s Prayer."
Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Rudolph Schoelzel of Route 2, Colby, and Mr. and Mrs. George Majerus of Colby.
A color scheme of red and white was carried out in the attire of the bride and her attendants. The bride chose a winter white dress of crepe suzette with a pleated skirt. With it she wore a red hat and shoes and carried white gardenias and red roses.
Miss Joel Neuman of Unity, as maid of honor, and the bride’s sister, Miss Korliss Schoelzel of Route 2, Colby, as bridesmaid, wore red wool sheath dresses and wrist corsages of red and white roses.
The festivities of the wedding day included a reception and supper at Colby’s Tavern and a wedding dance at Riplinger Hall.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Majerus are making their home in Colby on Division Street. The groom is employed at American Box Board Company.
Guests at the wedding were from Abbotsford, Colby, Unity, Marshfield, Stevens Point, Lake Geneva and Waukegan, Ill.
