Gorst, Margaret Irene (Marriage - 8 April 1961)

Wedding vows were exchanged Saturday by Miss Margaret Irene Gorst, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Gorst of Granton, and Eugene Clark Coyle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Coyle, also of Granton.  The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Virgil Holmes in the Granton Methodist Church, the altar of which was banked with baskets of white chrysanthemums and yellow daffodils.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, approached the altar in a floor-length, hooped skirt of brocaded satin.  The same material fashioned the fitted bodice, which was complemented with wrist length sleeves and a rounded neckline. A fingertip veil cascaded from a headpiece of seed pearls.  Red roses and white hyacinths fashioned her bridal bouquet.

Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Oldham of Neillsville, brother-in-law and sister of the groom, were their attendants.

The "Lord’s Prayer" and the wedding march were played by Miss Nancy Lou Spry.

A 6:30 reception was attended by 40 guests in the church parlors.

Both are graduates of Granton High School. The bride is employed as a waitress and the groom owns and operates a trucking and construction firm. They are residing in Granton.

People from away here for the wedding were: Mrs. Ray Eggiman, Neillsville, aunt of the groom; Marion Zahrte and Richard Schmidt, Norwalk; Mac Coyle and Donald Young, Camden, Ind.
