Krueger, Hugo #2 (4 MAR 1891 - 11 JAN 1963)
Funeral services for Hugo Krueger, 74, route 1, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) , who died Friday afternoon at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, were held Monday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby. The Rev. Jerome Wohlfell officiated at the services at 3 o’clock, after which interment was made in the Green Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Krueger was born in the town of Green Grove on March 4, 1891, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Krueger. He received his education in schools there and spent his entire life in the Green Grove area, except during World War I, when he was in the U.S. Army. In 1945 he retired from farming, and for the past year he made his home with a niece, Mrs. Emil Untiedt, Curtiss, route 1.
He never married and was the last survivor of a family of seven boys and four girls.
There are two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Henry Krueger of Abbotsford and Mrs. Albert Krueger of Waukesha, and several nieces and nephews who survive.
