Pastor John G. Pfohl of the St. John’s & Zion Lutheran Parish of North Freedom, Wis., has accepted the call to become the pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church at Loyal.
Rev. Pfohl will preach his farewell sermon in his parish on the last Sunday of February and will be installed in Trinity Lutheran Church at Loyal the first Sunday in March. Pastor Edgar Milleville of Grace Lutheran Church has been authorized by the District President, the Rev. Theo. Ohlrogge of Appleton, to conduct the installation service. The hour of the service will be announced later.
Rev. Pfohl is a graduate of Martin Luther College and Seminary, Buffalo, N.Y>, now merged with Capital University and Seminary, Columbus, Ohio. He has taken extra curricula work with several schools, including the Wartburg Theological Seminary at Dubuque, Iowa, under Dr. Reu.
Pastor Pfohl has a family of three children; a daughter who is a senior at Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa, and two sons, one is a senior in high school and the youngest a 7th grader.
