Granton, Wisconsin (20 April 1961)

 

Grant Bergemann, Minneapolis, enroute to Wausau, was a Friday overnight guest of his father, Gus Bergemann.

 

Mrs. Jessie Beeckler, Neillsville was a Friday overnight guest of Miss Pearle Beeckler, while her sister, Miss Daphne Beeckler, accompanied a forensic group to Madison.

 

Mrs. Audrey Spry did substitute teaching for a few days for Mrs. Qualley, third grade teacher, who was ill.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Spry left Tuesday afternoon for Waupaca to prepare for the opening of their root beer stand.

 

Members of the Ladies Aid of the Methodist Church honored Mrs. Vera Crandall on her birthday Friday in the church parlors.

 

Miss Pearle Beeckler, Miss Gladys Wage, Mrs.  Ethel Berg, Miss Ruth Pietenpol and Mrs. Bert Hayden visited Thursday with Mrs. Floyd Winn and helped her observe her birthday.

 

Twenty five friends and relatives from Wisconsin Rapids, who attended the funeral of Mrs. Ruby Marsh last week, were served lunch at the Floyd Winn home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nowack, Mrs. Ethel Berg and Mrs. Fred Bartz were Monday dinner guests at the Elsie Nowack home.

 

The Granton Civic Club met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. David Lavey. The topic, "Religions of the World" was given by (missing portion) .
