Marx, Alma (10 AUG 1879 - 29 JAN 1955)

 

Mrs. Anna Bickler Marx, 75, Sheboygan, mother of Arthur and Claude Bickler, died Saturday morning in a Sheboygan hospital.  Stricken with a heart attack at home, she passed away shortly after entering the hospital.

 

Funeral services were Monday morning at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sheboygan and the body was taken to Loyal for burial.

 

A former resident of Marathon County for many years, Mrs. Marx was born Aug. 10, 1879 in Belgium, Wis., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Langers.  She was married in 1901 in Lake Church, Ozaukee County, to Peter Bickler.  Former residents of Marathon, the couple moved to Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1926, where Mr. Bickler died Oct. 30, 1948.  She was married in 1952 to John Marx, who survives.

 

Also surviving, in addition to the two sons in Wausau, are five other sons, Peter, Sheboygan; Alex and Francis, Milwaukee; Joseph, Kaukauna; and Anton, Neillsville;  two daughters, Mrs. Alex Davel, Milwaukee and Mrs. Marion Englebretson, Evanston, Ill.  Several sisters and 10 grandchildren also survive.
