Froeba, Mary (29 MAY 1873 - 6 FEB 1955)
Mrs. Thomas Froeba, 81, Marshfield, died in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Sunday night, Feb. 6, 1955, at 10:10. Funeral services were held in Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, Wednesday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Alvin Pinke of Marshfield officiating. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery, Loyal.
Mrs. Froeba, the former Mary Gleiter, daughter of Michael and Henrietta Gleiter, was born at Hebron, Jefferson Co., Wis., May 29, 1873. She was married to Thomas Froeba April 13, 1899 in Jefferson County. Following their marriage they moved to a farm four miles southeast of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) , where they lived until 1944, when they moved into a home in the city of Loyal. Mr. Froeba died in 1946.
Last spring Mrs. Froeba was taken ill and went to Marshfield to make her home with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Froeba. She had been a patient in St. Joseph’s Hospital there for the past five weeks.
She is survived by three sons, Albert of Marshfield; Edwin of Racine; and Clarence of Loyal; also by 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
