Holt, Billy (Outstanding Senior Athlete - 1961)

Billy Holt, who did not let a small stature stand in his way, was selected the outstanding senior athlete at Neillsville High School Monday night.

Holt, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Holt, became the seventh senior to have his name engraved on the permanent trophy, which is kept in the trophy case at Neillsville High School.  He received a medal attesting to the award.

The presentation was made at the annual Athletic banquet of the Neillsville Chamber of Commerce.  Presenting the award was Morris Blodgett, a director of the organization.

Holt’s selection was made not only on athletic prowess - he is a letter winner in football, basketball and baseball; but also on other character traits which made him outstanding among his fellow seniors.
