Scherer, Mat (expansion of laundry business - 1914)
Mat Scherer leaves tomorrow for Chicago where he will buy four new laundry machines, including a shirt, collar and cuff machine, body ironer, band machine, shirt starcher, cuff press and sleeve ironer. A new addition will be built on the laundry to accommodate the new machines and the Scherer boys will then have their laundry equipped to handle their growing business quicker and easier and also take care of the new business which is constantly coming to them. The Model laundry is a growing institution and the proprietors are preparing to go out after outside business which has been repeatedly offered to them.
