Mund, Bernhart (6 Oct 1827 - 26 Jan 1914)
Bernhart Mund died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Jacklin, in town Weston Monday evening. Deceased was born Oct. 6, 1827, at Oetgheim Amt Eastatt Grosheizog thum Baden and left his home on Dec. 23, 1850, arriving in New York March 1, 1851. He located at Pittstown, N.Y., and was united in marriage at Troy, N.Y., April 12, 1855. He and his wife came to Wisconsin in 1856, living in the town of Polk for 23 years and then moving to Clark County in 1878. Here they resided until their deaths, Mrs. Mund having died Jan. 6, 1906. Since the death of his wife, Mr. Mund has lived with his children. He is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. John Jacklin and Mrs. Jos. Bodwin of Weston, Mrs. Fred Bahr of Spring Valley and John Mund of Weston. Also by 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Deceased was an able and conscientious gentleman and lived a life of industry and thrift. He was of kindly disposition and held in high esteem by all those who have known him for so many years. The funeral will be held today at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jacklin and services will be conducted by Rev. Nogle. Interment at the Globe Cemetery. Mrs. Bahr of Spring Valley arrived Tuesday for the funeral.
