Oakland Homemakers (4 May 1961)

The Oakland Homemakers were organized October 15, 1957.  It was started with 12 members and voted to keep to 12 members.  Mrs. Peter Zukowski, center chairman of Thorp, helped to start the club.

We are a very active club, helping with various projects such as Red Cross, Cancer Drive, etc., and always remember our sick members with cards and a small gift.

We meet every second Tuesday of each month.

We are always represented at every project meeting and at the spring and fall councils.

Mrs. Elmer Kuester of our club is at present our Thorp chairman.
