Coulthard, Grant L. (24 APR 1918 - 28 FEB 2011)
Grant Coulthard, 92, of Neillsville died Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, in
the Intensive Care Unit of Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in
Marshfield.
Grant Leroy Coulthard was born April 24, 1918, in the town of
Sherwood, Clark County, the son of John R. and Josephine A. (Hill)
Coulthard. He was united in marriage to June Gillard. They later
divorced, and he then married Irene Korntved on April 24, 1947.
They lived in the Granton area, where Grant farmed his entire life.
Irene died in 1985, and then Grant married Almeda Girard. They
later divorced, and in 1989 he married Charlyne Burt. In 1990,
Grant sold the farm and they moved to Marshfield. They divorced in
2002, and Jan. 11, 2006, he moved to Memorial Nursing Home in
Neillsville.
Grant was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Sherwood. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing and playing
cards.
He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Susan (Rex) Roehl of
Neillsville; three grandchildren, Nancy Curtin of Mosinee, Michael
(Melissa) Coulthard of Neillsville and Matthew Coulthard of
Neillsville; four great-grandchildren, Chase, Aubree, Sierra and
Brady; and a stepdaughter, Rochelle Feil of Milwaukee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, on April 14, 1985; a
son, Gary L. Coulthard, on May 23, 1987; his parents, John and
Josephine Coulthard; six brothers, Lewis, Milo, Neal, Robert, Homer
and Leo; and five sisters, Marjorie, Etta, Betty, Olive and
Virgie.
Funeral services for Grant will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 4,
2011, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Tom Hahn
will officiate. Music will be provided by Eileen Zank, organist.
Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at the Gesche
Funeral Home.
