Tucker, Mabel #3 (28 OCT 1878 - 27 FEB 1955)
Mrs. George Tucker died at the home of her son, Harold Tucker, at 2 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, 1955. Mrs. Tucker had been ill for several years.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. W. M. Mecklenburg officiated. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.
Mrs. Tucker, the former Mabel Pierce, was born in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) , Oct. 28, 1878. She received her education in the rural schools of Eaton Township. On July 4, 1896 she was married to George Tucker. They lived on a farm in Eaton until 30 years ago when they moved into their home in the city of Loyal. Mr. Tucker died in January 1939.
Mrs. Tucker was a member of the Loyal Methodist Church and served as an officer in different organizations of the church. She was also a member of Hope Camp No. 819, R.N.A. for almost 40 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Bessie) Blancher of Seattle, Wash.; two sons, Harold and William Tucker, both of Loyal; one brother, Roy Pierces, St. Helens, Ore.; one sister, Mrs. Amos (Gladys) Davis, Downs, Kansas; six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Three sisters preceded her in death.
