Sitts, Charles (27 JUN 1869 - 19 MAR 1955)

 

Charles Sitts, son of Henry and Elizabeth Sitts, was born at Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) June 27, 1869, passed away at Memorial Hospital, Boscobel, March 19, 1955, at the age of 85 years.

 

On Sept. 3, 1903, he was married to Jessie Viola Lewis at Richland Center.  To this union four children were born.

 

He spent the early part of his life in Clark County and the past 25 years at Bloomington.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife on Feb. 19th, 1950, one sister, Ellen and one brother, Edward, and one grandchild.  He is survived by 3 sons, Milo of Boscobel, Henry of Rochester, Minn., George of Bloomington, and one daughter, Mrs. Milo (Velma) Bean of Eastman, 19 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Mrs. Clara Arndt of Yakima, Wash., Mrs. Flora Draper and Mrs. Edna Cone of Loyal, and Mrs. Hiram (Anna) Brown of Rice Lake..

 

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, March 21st at the Bloomington Methodist Church, with Rev. John McCartey officiating and burial was made beside his wife in the Bloomington Cemetery.
