Ebert, Walter G. #3 (21 JUL 1906 - 1 MAY 1955)
Walter G. Ebert, 46, died at 4 a.m. Sunday, May 1, 1955, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, Minn., where he had been hospitalized for the past week. He had been ill for several months.
Funeral services were held at the West Side Evangelical Reformed Church, Greenwood at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Charles Koch officiated and burial was in the West Side Cemetery at Greenwood.
Mr. Ebert was born July 21, 1906 at Colby. He was a graduate of the Colby High School and later attended college in Minneapolis. He was a milk tester for many years.
He was married to Norma Kuester in the West Side Reformed Church of Greenwood, Sept. 22, 1932. Following their marriage, they lived on a farm in the town of Beaver for 13 years. They moved to Loyal in 1947 and purchased the Loyal Hotel. Since coming to Loyal, he has been inseminator for the Tri-State Breeders organization at Westby.
He was a member of the West Side Evangelical Reformed Church of Greenwood. While living in the town of Beaver, he served on the school board of his district.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Lois, aa student at Wis. State College in whitewater, and Nan Jean and Karen, at home; a sister, Mrs. Ida Horn, Greenwood; and a brother, Herman Ebert, Dover, Minn.
