Rahm, Charles (1 JUL 1879 - 5 MAY 1955)
Charles Rahm, 75, a resident here since 1917, died at his home at 11 a.m. last Thursday. Mr. Rahm had been in ill health for several years.
He was born in Germany, July 1, 1879, and came to the United States with his parents when three years of age. His parents settled on a farm in the town of Sherman (Clark Co., Wis.) . In earlier years Mr. Rahm was a dealer in agricultural produce. In addition to his farming he also spent some time working in lumber camps.
He was a baseball enthusiast and in earlier life played and was manager of teams here. He was married to Mary Ellen Mueller in 1917 and following their marriage, they moved to Loyal, where they had since resided. He retired about 10 years ago.
Mrs. Rahm died Jan. 26 of this year. Mr. Rahm is survived by a son, Herbert, at home, and a brother, august Rahm, town of Sherman.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Funeral services were held in Trinity Lutheran Church at 2 p.m., Sunday with the Rev. John Pfohl officiating..
During the services the hymn, "Asleep in Jesus" was sung by the congregation and Mrs. Romaine Rossow sang "In the Garden" and "Abide With Me." Miss Margaret Ann Rottjer was organist. Burial was in Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Martin Fisher, Bill Rahm, Donald Mueller, Charles Mueller, Julius Schroeder and Ray Schroeder.
