Hoffman, Helen (1 OCT 1897 - 22 MAY 1955)
Mrs. Frank Hoffman, 57, died in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, at 6:40 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 1955. Her death was caused by a stroke which she suffered Saturday evening. She was taken to the hospital Sunday morning.
Mrs. Hoffman, nee Helen Haug, was born in Minnesota, Oct. 1, 1897. At various times she lived in Minnesota, Canada and Montana. After her marriage to Frank Hoffman in Canada, July 21, 1916, they moved to Tomahawk and in 1944 came to the town of Beaver (Clark Co., Wis.) , where they had since resided on a farm.
Funeral services were held in Trinity Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. John Pfohl officiating. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.
Mrs. Hoffman is survived by her husband; three sons, Edward of Tomahawk and Walter and Arthur at home; four daughters, Elsie Hoffman, Milwaukee; Mrs. Clarence (Myrtle) Ehlke, Jackson; Mrs. Arden (Gladys) Tonn and Mrs. Alfred (Blanche) Scharnick of Milwaukee; 8 grandchildren; and two brothers, Albert Haug, Canada, and Aruth Haug of California.
