Cornwell, Earl (6 September 1931 - 21 May 1961)
Funeral services were held from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral home in Owen last Friday for Earl Cornwell, Jr. 20, who died May 21 from a fractured neck received in an accident in Ely, Minn.
The services were presided over by the Rev. Gene Carlson, pastor of the Withee Methodist Church. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Cornwell of Ely, Minn., he was born September 6, 1931, in Westboro. He was married in 1954 in Greenwood to the former Dorothy Radley, who survives. They are the parents of a son.
Before taking up woodworking, Cornwell served in the army for three years.
Also surviving are 13 brothers and sisters: Mrs. Vaughn Forester of Stanley; Mrs. Julius Klapatauskas of Thorp; Mrs. Wallace Kuehl of Forest Center, Minn.; Mrs. Roy Mabie of Kennen; Mrs. Wayne Murphy of Ely; Mrs. Maynard Hartshorn of Sawbill Landing, Minn.; Phyllis of Ely; Calvin of Gurney, Ill.; Vernon of Markesan; Leland of Ripon; and David and Herman, both of Ely.
