Braun, Irene (23 JUN 1955)
Irene Braun, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Shefchik, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) , were united in marriage at a ceremony performed in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church by the Rev. N. E. King at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 1955.
The bride wore a street length dress of navy blue, a white hat, white accessories, and a corsage of red roses and small mums.
Wearing a navy blue street length dress, a navy blue hat, white accessories and corsage of carnations, Mrs. Peter J. Beyerl of Colby, was her sister’s maid of honor.
Peter J. Beyerl served as best man for the groom.
Music was by St. Anthony’s choir with Mrs. E. M. Trnka as organist.
A dinner was served in St. Anthony’s dining hall and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.
The groom is a livestock dealer and farmer and the bride is a bookkeeper.
When the new Mr. and Mrs. Bertz return from a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin, they will make their home in Loyal.
