Blang, Barbara (Marriage - 10 June 1961)
Miss Barbara Blang of Eau Claire became the bride of James Ammentorp of Withee at a candlelight ceremony performed by the Rev. A. C. Hegge in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Eau Claire last Saturday.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Blang of Eau Claire; and he is the son of Mrs. Evald Ammentorp of Withee.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length bridal gown of white chiffon with long sleeves. She wore a short veil with a seed pearl crown, and carried a bouquet of orchids.
Marton of honor was Mrs. Carol Christiansen of Eau Claire, who wore a waltz-length gown of blue taffeta, with lace midriff, and matching blue shoes, and a blush veil. Other attendants included Janet Wolfrom of Eau Claire, a niece of the groom, and Mrs. Catherine Schaffer, also of Eau Claire, who wore gowns identical to that of the matron of honor.
Marvin Ammentorp of Withee served as bestman; and ushers were William Reisnke of Rice Lake and Sidney Sorensen of Withee.
A reception in the church basement followed the ceremony. The newlyweds left on a wedding trip to Chicago.
Both young people are graduates of Eau Claire State College.
