Stowe, Mary (13 May 1875-13 June 1953)
Mrs. Mary Stowe, 78, died at the Badger Sunset Home at Fairchild, at 11:15 P.M. Friday, June 12.
Mrs. Stowe, the former Mary Roohr was born in the Town of Beaver, May 13, 1875. She was married to Pat Stowe in 1902.
She lived for most of her life in the town of Beaver. About a tear ago she went to the Badger Sunset Home.
Mr. Stowe died in 1934. Three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two brothers, John Roohr, at Owen, and Jake Roohr, Pittsville; also by three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Summer, California; Mrs. Hazel Carrington, Oregon; and Mrs. Ana Oslack, Milwaukee.
Funeral services were held at the Myre Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Beaver Cemetery. William Baker, a Bible Student, officiated.
Mrs. William Baker and Ernestine Hake sang, "Rest for the Toiling Brow" and "The Eye That Never Sleeps" with Mrs. Elwood Fisher as organist.
Pall bearers were Lawrence Neuman, Richard Witte, Sr., Adam Roohr, Richard Witte, Jr., Bud Witte and John Widmore.
Flower girls were LaVonne Neuman, Joel Neuman, Paulette Witte and Bonnie Ewert.
Mrs. Anna Ostack, Milwaukee, attended the funeral, also many from this vicinity.
