Haupt, Darlene (Marriage - 3 June 1961)

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Haupt of Waukesha, formerly of Loyal, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Darlene to Gerald Wirtz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Wirtz, Sr. of Wisconsin Rapids. The wedding was solemnized June 3, in Milwaukee.

The new Mrs. Wirtz is a 1956 graduate of Loyal High School. She is a cosmetologist in Milwaukee.

The groom is a 1955 graduate of Pittsville’s Maryheart High School and in 1959 he received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Norbert’s College.  In February of this year he received a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Marquette University’s college of engineering.  Since then he has been an instructor in that school.

Following the reception and dinner, the couple left for Windsor Locks, Conn., where they will spend the summer and the groom will be employed as a metallurgical engineer.  In the fall they plan to reside in Evanston, Ill., where Mr. Wirtz will resume studies in material science at Northwestern University.
