Pine Valley Township (22 June 1961)
Mr. and Mrs. Leland Appleyard of Mosinee are spending the summer in Durand. He is attending summer school in Menomonie.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Appleyard entertained Frank Rucks and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Toll and family of Berlin Sunday.
Dr. Darrell Sharp of Mondovi and his sister, Mrs. Bernice Steele of California, visited Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dodte last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Swenddal and children of Rice Lake also visited there last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Leland Buddenhagen and family have moved onto the Willie Gehrt farm (formerly owned by Mr. Gehrt’s parents, the Herman Gehrt’s) south of Silver Crest School. They will use the 40-acre farm for pasture and for raising hay.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Pflughoeft are adding three rooms to their farm residence west of the Black River to provide for a separate apartment.
Jon Yndogliato and Donald Erpenbach returned last weekend from a two-week trip to North Dakota, Montana and Washington. They visited Charles Jonkel and family in Whitefish, Mont.
Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Novak and two children of Bruce Mound were weekend visitors at the Albert Mohr home.
