McKenna, Annabelle (7 JUN 1896 - 12 JUL 1955)
Mrs. William McKenna, 59, died in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, at about 7:20 p.m. July 12, 1955, following a lingering illness.
Mrs. McKenna, nee Annabelle Moorhead, was born in Chicago, Ill., June 7, 1896, and received her education in Chicago. She later lived with her parents in Eau Claire. She then went to live in Willard and then in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) .
She was married to William McKenna at Greenwood, Nov. 26, 1912. Five years ago the McKenna moved from Greenwood to Loyal.
She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, its Altar Society, and St. Ann’s Altar Society of Greenwood.
She is survived by her husband and four children, David and Agnes of Loyal; Mrs. Douglas (Mary) O’Donnell, Marshfield; and Michael, a student at Holy Cross Seminary, La Crosse. She is also survived by two grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services, solemn High Mass, will be held in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal Saturday morning at 9 a.m. The Rev. Norbert King will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Greenwood.
The body will lie in state at the Myre Funeral Home beginning Thursday evening.
