Paul, Raymond W. (29 JUL 1917 - 4 MAR 2011)
OWEN -- Raymond W. Paul, 93, of King, formerly of Owen, died
Friday, March 4, 2011, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. Visitation will be from
9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial
will take place in the Riverside Cemetery in Withee with full
military rites conducted by the Owen and Lublin American
Legion.
Raymond was born July 29, 1917, to Robert and Mary (Brehmer) Paul
in the town of Hoard, Clark County. Raymond served in the U.S. Army
from 1941 until 1945 where he stationed in New Guinea and the
Philippines. After his discharge, he drove gravel truck for a
while, until Ray and his brother Otto started Paul Brothers
Trucking, hauling gravel and later buying a semi to haul pulp wood.
He retired in the early 1980s.
Raymond is survived by his brother, Wilmer (Alice) Paul of
Medford.
