Grambsch, Connie Rea (Marriage - 17 June 1961)

Connie Rea Grambsch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Grambsch of Loyal, and Dale J. Clintsman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Clintsman, of Greenwood, were married Saturday afternoon in ceremonies conducted in the Methodist Church at Loyal, with the Rev. Lee Holmes, pastor of the Caledonia Street Methodist Church in La Crosse, in charge.

The altar was decorated with baskets of pink and white peonies for the double ring ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a full-length, white bridal gown with scoop neckline, trimmed with sequins, lace bodice and full hoop skirt of silk organza with appliqués.  The full-length sleeves came to a point at the wrists.  Her fingertip veil of French illusion was caught by a crown trimmed with sequins and pearls. She carried a bouquet of stephanotis surrounding a corsage of orchids, which the bride wore when she left on her honeymoon.

Serving as the maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Miss Carmella Grambsch, and Miss Marliss Haselow of Spencer was the bridesmaid. They were dressed alike in pink, full-length strapless formals of lace and nylon sheer, with matching lace jackets. The full hoop skirts were trimmed with lace tiers on either side, and they wore half-crown headpieces trimmed with pearls and featuring face veils. Both carried baskets of pink and white carnations.

William Herr of Greenwood was the bestman; groomsmen were Jim Knoll, William Essex of Crystal Lake, Ill., a cousin of the bride, and James Goetz of Stevens Point, a brother-in-law of the groom.  Miss Mary Alison Grambsch a sister of the bride, acted as flower girl.

Miss Judy Essex of Crystal Lake, Ill., a cousin of the bride, sang "O Perfect Love," and "Because."  She was accompanied at the organ by Miss Julia Vojert of Loyal.

A reception for 125 guests was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

The couple left on a wedding trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota.

The bride attended Loyal High School. The groom, who is engaged in farming and truck driving, was graduated from the Greenwood High School in 1959.
